Tony Lee Dow (April 13, 1945 – July 27, 2022)[3] was an Americanactor, director, and movie producer. He played Wally Cleaver in the sitcomtelevision seriesLeave It to Beaver from 1957 to 1963. He played the same role again in The New Leave It to Beaver from 1983 to 1989. He also directed several episodes of Babylon 5. Dow was born in Hollywood, California.[3]
In May 2022, Dow was diagnosed with liver cancer.[4] On July 26, 2022, it was reported that Dow was in his "final moments" under hospice care in Topanga, California.[5][6] He died from the disease on July 27, 2022 at his home in Topanga, California at the age of 77.[7]
